I am an artist living and working in New York City. My new work is a kind of diary, where image and text combine on the surface. The image and text are conceived together, and in the act of painting the text is added last, writing across the still-wet image. These pieces came about in the time the world was in lock-down, and I wanted a way to exorcise my anxieties and loneliness, as well as showing my hopefulness.
